02 / TERMSWhat Squat.best is

Squat.best is a public startup leaderboard where participating startups move up by completing squat sessions that our browser-based movement system accepts. Rankings may be shown for all time, this week, and today.

The site also sells clearly labelled sponsor placements. Sponsor cards are advertising, not editorial endorsements or fitness rankings. A sponsor payment buys only the stated placement for the stated period; it does not guarantee impressions, clicks, customers, sales, search ranking, or any other result.

Payment never adds squats and never increases leaderboard rank.

03 / TERMSEligibility and authority

• You must be at least 18 and legally able to accept these Terms.
• If you act for a startup or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it.
• You may list only a startup, website, or brand that you own or are authorized to represent.
• You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you and your listing.

04 / TERMSExercise and camera safety

Squat.best is a marketing game, not medical, health, or professional fitness advice. Exercise involves risk. Use a clear space, wear suitable footwear, stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or unusual discomfort, and seek professional advice if you are unsure whether squats are appropriate for you. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to exercise.

The camera tracker is an automated estimate and may miss, reject, or miscount movement. Do not rely on it to assess technique, safety, injury risk, mobility, or health.

05 / TERMSStartup listings

Startup listings are normally published immediately. You must provide accurate, current information and a working destination. Public listing content may include the startup name, URL, tagline, position, and squat totals. Free startup listings do not require an email address.

We may review, edit for formatting, hide, reject, recategorize, or remove a listing if it is unsafe, misleading, unlawful, duplicative, abandoned, unauthorized, or harmful to the service or its users. Instant publication is not approval or endorsement.

06 / TERMSFair participation and score integrity

Scores must come from genuine, live squat sessions completed by a person using the provided tracker. You may not use prerecorded video, automation, multiple or manipulated camera feeds, fabricated measurements, scripts, bots, exploits, or coordinated abuse to inflate a score.

We may reject individual reps or sessions, correct totals, suspend access, or remove a listing when automated checks or reasonable review indicate manipulation, technical error, or abuse. Ranking calculations, movement thresholds, anti-abuse controls, and time windows may change as the service improves.

07 / TERMSSponsored placements and payments

There are eight fixed placements offered one at a time in slot order for 30 days. Only the lowest currently available slot may be purchased: slot 1 costs US$100, and every following slot costs US$100 more, up to US$800 for slot 8. Buyers cannot skip ahead to a higher slot. The price and placement shown at checkout control if they differ from this summary. Payment submits the application for manual review and temporarily reserves the next slot. Once a checkout reserves a slot, the following slot may be offered while that earlier checkout or review is still pending. A paid sponsor does not go live until we approve its destination and content.

Stripe processes checkout, payment details, business billing information, tax IDs, taxes, invoices, and refunds. We do not receive or store full card numbers. Taxes may be added where required. Stripe creates a paid invoice for a successful one-time payment and sends the related customer email according to our Stripe email settings. A placement may move or display differently on smaller screens while retaining its sponsored status and placement category.

If we reject a paid sponsor application before publication, we issue a full refund to the original payment method. Refund timing after issuance is controlled by Stripe and the customer's payment provider. Once an approved placement starts, payments are final except where mandatory law requires otherwise or we cannot provide the purchased placement. Removal after publication for breach of these Terms does not create a refund.

08 / TERMSProhibited content and conduct

You may not submit, promote, or use Squat.best for:

• malware, phishing, fraud, impersonation, deceptive redirects, or hidden destinations;
• illegal, hateful, harassing, defamatory, violent, exploitative, or sexually explicit content;
• infringing, counterfeit, or unauthorized material;
• regulated products or services offered without required licenses or disclosures;
• scraping, denial-of-service activity, bypassing rate limits, reverse engineering beyond mandatory legal rights, or interfering with the site;
• collecting data about other users or using the board to spam, threaten, or mislead them.

09 / TERMSYour content and our license

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, cache, reproduce, resize, format, and publicly display that content as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and promote Squat.best. This license lasts while the listing is active and for a reasonable backup, legal, or archival period afterward.

You confirm that you have the rights required for the listing, and that its use on Squat.best does not infringe another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights. Send rights or takedown notices to eldevvision@gmail.com with the relevant URL and enough detail for us to assess the request.

10 / TERMSThird-party services and destinations

Squat.best uses third-party infrastructure and services, including Vercel, InstantDB, DataFast, Stripe, MediaPipe-related model delivery, and content delivery networks. Their own terms and privacy notices may apply. Links and sponsor destinations are controlled by their owners; we do not endorse or take responsibility for their content, availability, products, or practices.

11 / TERMSAvailability and changes

We may change, pause, test, limit, or discontinue any part of the service, including ranking periods, scoring rules, placement layouts, eligibility, and submission limits. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent storage, a particular rank, or continued availability of any listing or feature.

12 / TERMSDisclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Squat.best is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, accuracy, or results. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, revenue, traffic, data, goodwill, or opportunity. Our aggregate liability connected with the service will not exceed the greater of EUR 100 or the amount you paid to Squat.best in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including for intent, gross negligence, or personal injury where applicable.

13 / TERMSIndemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your listing, destination, content, unlawful use, infringement, score manipulation, or breach of these Terms. This does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by our own unlawful conduct.

14 / TERMSGoverning law and general terms

Bulgarian law governs these Terms, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Sofia, Bulgaria have jurisdiction, except that consumers retain any mandatory venue and consumer protections available under applicable law. Before filing a claim, contact us so we can try to resolve it.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Our delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a reorganization, financing, or sale of the service. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about Squat.best and may be updated by posting a new version with a revised date.
